1. How does the CM Password Manager Lite work? [to the top]

   In general the CM Password Manager Lite works like the full version of the CM Password Manager. However this lite version works restricted compared to the full version that requires a CmStick:

   • The CM Password Manager Lite is not designed for portable usage with your USB-Stick.

   • The CodeMeter Password Manager Lite is only available for Windows operating systems. The full version is also available for Mac OS X and Linux.

   The CM Password Manager Lite should only be used for testing purposes. Maximum security can only be achieved with a CmStick. The reason for this is that your data will be stored encrypted in the CmStick and can only be accessed by authorized users. Further information regarding can be found here.

   You can use the CM Password Manager Lite with your CmStick on Windows. This requires the CodeMeter-Runtime that can be downloaded from here.

   • The CM Password Manager Utility can be used to transfer all password data into your CmStick.

   • Once the CM Password Manager data was transfered in your CmStick the CM Password Manager Lite operates like the full version. This means that no update installation is required on Windows operating systems.

3. The CM Password Manager Lite does not fill in the passwords into Web sites. [to the top]

   The CM Password Manager Lite supports the automatic completion of Web sites in the Internet Explorer (6.x, 7.x) and in the Firefox browser (2.x). Note that for the Firefox browser a plug-in must be installed. Furhter information regarding the Firefox plug-in.
